Luca Lipparini
Luca is from Bologna, Italy, originally coming to the U.S. as an international student, he received both his B.A. in Political Science and his M.Ed. in Global Studies in Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the Yale OISS, Luca worked as an international student advisor at Florida State University assisting both graduate and undergraduate F-1 students. Prior to working at Florida State, Luca was a study abroad Program Coordinator at Duke University in Durham, NC where he helped students gain meaningful academic experiences abroad.
Every adviser now offers Virtual and In-Person Office Hours. Your adviser has a set time each week during which they will be available on Zoom (Virtual), or in-person at OISS, 421 Temple Street. You can check the calendar below to confirm which times they will be available for their office hours. Advisers will update this calendar if they will not be able to attend their office hours for the week, so please confirm their availability before joining or coming into the office.
For Virtual Office Hours: During your adviser’s Virtual Office Hours, complete this form to let them know why you are joining, and then click the Zoom link. Please note that this service operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may experience a short wait before being admitted. If you join outside of the regular Virtual Office Hours, your adviser will not see you. These hours are designed for quick immigration questions and are not a replacement for scheduling an appointment with your OISS adviser for more in-depth advising.
For In-Person Office Hours: Make your way to OISS, 421 Temple Street, during your adviser's In-Person Office Hours. When you arrive, let the front desk know which adviser you are there to see. You will be asked to fill out a short form to note the reason for your visit. This service operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so you may experience a short wait before being seen. If you arrive outside of your adviser's scheduled hours, they will not be available to meet with you.
