These virtual drop-in hours are for quick immigration or Yale-related questions, but are not meant to be a replacement to scheduling an appointment with your OISS adviser.
Days and Times
An OISS staff member will be available during the following times:
- Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays* from 10 am to 12 pm EST
* Virtual Drop-in Hours do not take place on Fridays in the summer. See our Hours, Directions, and Parking page for dates.
Adviser Schedule
Every adviser is assigned a specific day of the week, so you can drop-in any time during the below schedule, but if you'd like to meet with your adviser specifically, you can look at our schedule and attend on their specific day.
If you are not sure who your adviser is, you can find them on this page.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change at any time. If you need to get in touch outside of these times, please contact your adviser.
No Drop-In Hours on Yale Holidays and Recess Days
Please note that the OISS office will not be hosting drop-in hours on official Yale holidays and recess days. Please check our Hours, Directions, and Parking page for exact dates.
How to Access Virtual Drop-In Hours Advising
- Fill out this Virtual Drop-In Advising Intake Form to add your name to the queue. Please wait until 15 minutes before the start time of the advising session to join.
- After completing the intake form, you will be given the link to join the virtual waiting room.
- An adviser will be with you on a first-come, first-served basis. There may be a short wait.
