Born and raised in Japan, Mihwa (pronounced as “mee-fah”) has been working in the International Education field since the early '90s. She joined OISS in August 2015 after working at other U.S. universities and an immigration law firm. As Associate Director, she primarily works with our international scholar community, providing advice on immigration and cultural matters. She holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish Studies from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in Kyoto, Japan, and an M.A. in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and studied abroad in Granada, Spain.
