Mihwa Lee (she, her, hers)
Born and raised in Japan, Mihwa (pronounced as “mee-fah”) has worked in the International Education field since the early '90s. She joined OISS in August 2015 after working at other U.S. universities and an immigration law firm. As Associate Director, she primarily supports our international scholar and employee community by offering guidance on immigration and cultural matters. She holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish Studies from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in Kyoto, Japan, and an M.A. in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and studied abroad in Granada, Spain. She has also held various leadership roles with NAFSA, Association of International Educators, and has trained and served as an expert resource for fellow international/immigration advisors at higher education institutions.
In her personal time, she enjoys hiking with her two dogs, connecting with nature, and listening to birds. She is a proud dog mom.
