Born and raised in Japan, Mihwa (pronounced as “mee-fah”) has been working in the International Education field for over 16 years since she came to the U.S. She joined OISS in August 2015 after working at other U.S. universities and an immigration law firm. Mihwa, as a Senior Adviser, provides international students and scholars with advice on their immigration and cultural matters. She holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish Studies from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies in Kyoto, Japan and an M.A. in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and studied abroad in Granada, Spain.
