Immigration

Passports

U.S. immigration laws can be complex, subject to frequent changes, and may apply differently in different situations. Understanding the basics of the regulations as they apply to you now and in the future can be helpful as you consider options for your academic and professional career.

There are many resources available to you, including the OISS website and OISS sponsored information sessions. The weekly OISS newsletter will announce upcoming changes, application deadlines, as well as upcoming information sessions and links to past ones. If you are not receiving the OISS newsletter you can sign up here.  You can also contact your OISS Adviser and ask questions during the virtual or walk-in advising hours.  It is vital to communicate with your OISS adviser if you plan to submit any application(s) to USCIS by yourself, as such an action may impact your study or work eligibility at Yale.
