Spouses and same-sex civil union partners of students and scholars are eligible for a Yale University access card. While these cards do not allow for building access, they can be used at the libraries, museums, gym (membership fee may apply), Yale transit and other venues throughout campus. Building access exceptions would be Yale Day Care Centers and Yale Graduate On Campus Housing. Spouses and partners will need to provide the following information to the departmental sponsor to obtain an access card. Proof of marriage/civil union must be provided using one of the following forms of documentation: The student and spouse/partner must go to the student’s Registrar and present proof of marriage/civil union as indicated above. The employee and spouse/partner must go to their department business manager and present proof of marriage/civil union as indicated above.Yale IDs for Spouses & Partners
