The holiday season is a great time to give back, and what better way than helping out your local community?
On Wednesday, November 29th, OISS and the international community will learn about housing and food insecurity in New Haven and will put together personal care kits that will be donated to a local non-profit and distributed to those in need. If you're interested in joining us for the program, please register here. OISS will be providing supplies to put together 100 care kits, but our goal is to make 200 with your help!
We are accepting donations for the following items. Please note that these should be brand-new, unused items, and should be travel-size.
- soap
- toothpaste
- handwarmers
- socks
- deodorant
- sunscreen
- pads and tampons
- antibiotic cream
- band-aids
- hand sanitizer wipes
Donations for the care kits can be dropped off at OISS November 17, 27, 28, and 29 during business hours.
