Staff Updates at OISS

September 3, 2026
As we begin a new academic year, we want to share some changes to our advising team — a few goodbyes, and some exciting hellos. Please review below to ensure you know who your OISS adviser is moving forward.

A Fond Farewell

Veronica Eriksson's last day with OISS was August 31st. Her humor, empathy, and work ethic made a lasting impact on our office and the students we serve, and she will be deeply missed. We wish her the very best as she begins her next chapter in Sweden.

A Transition

Sarah Keefe will be stepping back from the advising caseload she generously took on to help cover maternity leave coverage. Sarah remains a valued member of our team, continuing to support OISS behind the scenes, though she will no longer be advising students in the same capacity.

Welcome Back

We're thrilled to welcome Clementine (Clem) Pomies back from maternity leave! As of September 3rd, Clem has resumed her advising caseload and is excited to reconnect with students.

Welcome to the Team

Please join us in welcoming Teng Xu to our advising team! A former international student from China, Teng brings a wealth of lived experience and genuine empathy to his advising practice, making him uniquely equipped to support international students and scholars navigating their transition to life in the United States. You can find his advising caseload on our website, and he'll be reaching out to introduce himself soon.
