Ian Smith

Ian is excited to join OISS as an intern and looking forward to helping the international community at Yale University. He received a B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology with a focus on ethnobotany and foodways before entering the field of International Student Services. Ian is always ready to chat about coffee and chocolate. Connecticut is the eighth U.S. state that he has called home after moving around the country for school and work.  When not at OISS you can find him walking with both his spouse and retriever mix, searching for local coffee roasters, or exploring the local waterways by kayak.
