Alicia Haley
Alicia has a M.A. in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont and a B.A. in Elementary Education from Framingham State University in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Before coming to Yale, Alicia most recently worked as a Graduate Adviser to Computer Science and Engineering PhD students at the University of California-Santa Cruz (UCSC). She has also held International Student Advisor positions at UCSC, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Roger Williams University.
Alicia developed an interest in world cultures and geography by reading her father's National Geographic magazines as a child. Eventually, this led Alicia to volunteer with the Peace Corps as a Teacher Trainer in Swakopmund, Namibia for two years. Post Peace Corps, Alicia also worked with the non-profit organization, Project Healthy Children in Rwanda and Honduras. She has also traveled to all 50 states!
When she's not working, Alicia enjoys indoor cycling, road trips, local exploring and spending “quality time” with her cat, Luna Lovegood.
