Meet Adaolisa from Nigeria, our spotlight for this week’s #HumansOfOISS!
Adaolisa is a Master student in International and Development Economics, marking her inaugural experience studying abroad. Her adaptability in a new country is truly remarkable. In just two days, she tackled settling into her new life - from household essentials to a new phone number, bank account, and grocery shopping. It’s a stark contrast to my initial struggles when I arrived in New Haven, grappling with unfamiliar transport, jet lag, and the maze of grocery stores.
