OISS is hiring: apply to the following positions to work with OISS this summer and in fall 2026!

We are looking to work with a number of students this summer and beyond to help with OISS orientations, communications and program support.

Graduate & Professional International Orientation Ambassador 2026 (Job ID 21280)

Contact person: Charlie Lee

G&P International Orientation Ambassadors (OAs) will work in a team to assist OISS in welcoming and orienting newly-arrived international students. Their responsibilities include:

  1. Hosting and presenting Pre-Arrival Zoom Calls to share Yale and New Haven information with new students in the summer.
  2. Assisting the OISS staff during scheduled in-person orientation sessions at OISS.
  3. Making and respondiong to discussion and blog-style posts on our online orienation platform.
  4. Facilitate community building orientation programs and events for new graduate and professional students.
 
Graduate International Community Outreach Fellows 2026-27 (Job ID 36814)

Contact person: Molly Hampton

The 2 new Graduate International Community Outreach Fellows (academic year 2026-27) plan and execute social activities to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for international students and scholars at Yale. Their responsibilities include:
 
  1. Producing one or two social and community-building events each month.
  2. Potentially leading one of the daily English Conversation Groups for beginner and intermediate ESL learners.
  3. Assisting in other OISS programs, including day trips, large community events, and orientation programs as needed.
  4. Creating and advertising events on Yale Connect, managing event communications.
 
Graduate International Programs Support Fellow 2026-27 (Job ID 36815)

The new Graduate International Programs Support Fellow (academic year 2026-27) provides essential logistical and communications support for a variety of OISS programs and events, and assist in the creation and dissemination of a weekly newsletter for Yale's international community. Their responsibilities include:
 
  1. Providing logistical support for OISS programs and events, such as catering arrangements.
  2. Assisting in drafting, formatting, and sending a weekly newsletter to Yale's international community every Thursday.
  3. Supporting communications efforts by preparing promotional materials, updating event information on various platforms.
  4. Maintaining and updating the OISS website with current event information, resources, and news.
