Celebrating International Education Week with the Linda K. Lorimer Award

November 19, 2025

This week we celebrate International Education Week, which “is all about expanding horizons, making connections, and establishing mutual understanding between people in the United States and other countries.”

At OISS, we treat every week like it's International Education Week because we get to work with over 8,000 internationals on our campus each and every day!

This year, we can also celebrate the OISS team for being recognized with the Linda K. Lorimer Award for Distinguished Service award. Now in its twelfth year, the award celebrates staff who embody Yale’s spirit of leadership, innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

On November 11, the OISS team was awarded the Linda K. Lorimer Award for; “demonstrating exemplary leadership and tireless dedication, this team ensures that Yale’s international students and scholars feel welcome and connected. With clear communications and comprehensive resources, the Office of International Students and Scholars smooths the path to campus, acting as an essential resource for Yale’s global and campus communities.”

We also want to highlight our partners, student leaders, and the thousands of international students, scholars, and families who make our community what it is.

Here’s to celebrating international education and the work that brings us all together.
