Traveling During the Winter Break? Check your documents!

December 6, 2017

Before you travel over the winter break, make sure you check immigration documents for a valid travel signature.  If the OISS signature on page two of your I-20 (F-1), or the lower right hand box of your DS-2019 (J-1), will be 12 months old when you return to the U.S., you need to get a new signature.

Bring your immigration documents to OISS during walk-in hours any afternoon between 12pm - 5pm and we will sign your form.   OISS will be closed beginning at 5pm on December 21st and will re-open on Tuesday, January 2nd.

If you need to apply for a U.S. visa, please make your visa appointment as soon as possible.  The winter holiday period is often a time when U.S. consulates are closed for the holidays and/or have fewer staff to process visa applications, so plan accordingly.
